Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes what you may and may not do with Rising Star's hosting, domain, and email services. It applies to all customers and anyone using services under a customer's account.

Prohibited Content

You may not host or transmit content that is illegal under Omani law, infringes someone else's intellectual property, is defamatory, or facilitates fraud, phishing, or the distribution of malware.

Prohibited Activities

You may not use our services to send unsolicited bulk email (spam), launch or participate in denial-of-service attacks, scan or probe other networks without authorization, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system.

Fair Use of Resources

Shared hosting resources are provided on a fair-use basis. Accounts that consume a disproportionate share of shared server resources, and affect other customers, may be asked to upgrade to a plan suited to their usage or may be temporarily throttled.

Email & Anti-Spam

Email services must only be used to send mail to recipients who have agreed to receive it. Accounts that generate spam complaints or damage our mail servers' reputation may be suspended.

Reporting Violations

If you believe content or activity hosted with Rising Star violates this policy, please report it to info@risingstar.om with as much detail as possible.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take action ranging from a warning to suspension or termination of the affected service, depending on the severity and history of the violation.
